Greenhouse, our Wednesday evening program for grades 7-12, like an actual greenhouse, is an environment where conditions are optimal for growth. This is an environment where students are able to grow deeper in relationships with Jesus and relationships with others.
WEDNESDAYS AT 7:00 P.M.
WHO IS GREENHOUSE FOR?
At Greenhouse all middle school and high schoolers hear this message: “You belong. No matter what.” Greenhouse is for the athlete, musician, intellectual, introvert, extrovert, the struggling, the hurting, for those close to God and those who don’t even believe in God.
DO MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS MEET ALL TOGETHER?
Each week middle school and high school students meet separately. However, 5-6 times per year for special events, middle school and high school students will meet together for large group teaching and worship.
Every student needs corporate worship and biblical teaching, but more importantly, every student needs a place where they are known, cared for, and challenged in their faith. Small groups are divided by grade and gender and will give students an opportunity to live out their faith in community.
We encourage all students to participate in and/or serve in the multigenerational worship service with their family and/or friends.
We understand that there is a considerable gap between the Discovery Land worship experience and the multigenerational worship service that may hinder student engagement. If you or your student is struggling to engage in this service, the following resources will be most helpful for you.
HOW-TO GUIDE TO THE WORSHIP SERVICE
This 3 video series is meant to be watched by parents and students together so that they can discuss how to best engage in the weekend worship service.
YOUVERSION BIBLE APP
The Bible App allows you to follow along with the pastor’s message and even take notes on a specific passage of scripture and even continue reading scripture through bible reading plans throughout the week.
SERVE AS PART OF THE CHURCH
One of the best ways for a student to engage in the worship service on Sunday morning is to serve.
FULLY EQUIPPED CLASS
This class is not meant to replace the weekend worship service participation. Instead, it is for students who are at church for multiple services. This class is only appropriate for a unique audience and requires consistent attendance and a daily devotion to deeply studying the Scripture. Because this class requires a greater commitment, every student will need to apply.
HANG WITH US
Get ready! Alliance Students hosts a bunch of special events and parties throughout the year to engage, inspire, serve, and grow together.
MORE ABOUT SPECIAL EVENTS
Student Conference is one of the largest gatherings of youth in the Fox Valley with the purpose of inspiring the next generation to own their faith and take action. Conference is all about stepping up, sharing the love of Jesus with others, and making an impact on our community.
This discipleship retreat will allow us one weekend to get away from the busyness and distractions of our daily lives to encounter Jesus and focus on becoming more like Him.
Twice a semester we throw a huge party to celebrate students, parents, or volunteers who have decided to make a public declaration of their faith.
Each summer students are given an opportunity to take steps to own their faith by going on a missions trip. Students will be trained on how to build a financial and prayer support team and how to do cross-cultural ministry.
