Bethany Pankratz

Counselor Intern
Bethany Pankratz

Bethany grew up in the Fox Valley and in the church, experiencing the standard American childhood. It wasn’t until after her undergraduate career at Concordia University Wisconsin, and too many years of depression and anxiety, that she began pursuit of Jesus as Lord and leader of her life. A year later she was baptized by the man who would later become her husband, and in 2012 the pair visited AAC and never stopped attending.

Brandon and Bethany were married in 2013, and had their first son, Bear, in July 2016. Finding joy and purpose as a working mom, Bethany is due to graduate with her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in December 2021. She is fortunate to have the opportunity to intern as a counselor at Alliance and to be supervised by Suzan Myhre while providing spiritually integrated therapy for women, adolescents, and groups. Both a participant and a practitioner of Brainspotting therapy, Bethany most enjoys witnessing God's creative and intricate ability of the brain and body to deeply heal.

Looking forward, Bethany envisions practicing in private settings, working primarily with adolescent and adult women desiring to find their way back from complex and developmental trauma, fostering to adopt a sibling or two for Bear, and traveling the world with Brandon. In the meantime, when she finds free time, she takes the opportunity to rest and enjoy her family and close friends.
