From Anoka, Minnesota, Emily grew up in a missions-minded family which helped her discern a calling into vocational ministry early in high school. However, after a short-term missions trip to Taiwan in 2018, Emily realized her passion for cross-cultural ministry. After graduating from the University of Northwestern St Paul with a bachelor's degree in Intercultural Studies in 2021, Emily moved to Appleton, Wisconsin to join AAC as the Global Connections resident while pursuing a master's degree in Global Leadership from Crown College. Emily is excited about discipleship, ethnography, contextualizing the gospel within different cultures, and ultimately, reaching the unreached with the gospel.
As Midwestern as they come, Emily enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and kayaking. When her introverted side kicks in, you might also find her reading, watching shows, or snuggling with a cat or two!
