Sunday Overview

Your preschooler will have fun “discovering eternal treasures” every Sunday! In Discovery Land we believe in “total time teaching," so the fun and learning begins the moment you walk through our doors! If you have never been to Discovery Land, stop by the DL Welcome Desk when you arrive and someone will be happy to assist you. Casual attire and comfortable shoes are recommended. Children in Kindergarten and older are encouraged to bring an NIV Bible each Sunday.

Sunday Registration

Visitors are always welcome! Registration takes place when you arrive. Stop at the DL Welcome Desk to begin your student’s first day in Discovery Land. Parents may check in students beginning 15 minutes before each service. There is no cost associated with Sunday programming.

Tuesday Overview

Cubbies is a two-year Awana program specifically designed for children the two years before entering Kindergarten. Whether it's the fun puppets, exciting games, or their "Cubbie friends," preschool kids simply love it. Each week in Cubbies, preschoolers learn about God — the greatness of His love and His Word, and about His Son, Jesus Christ.

Tuesday Registration

Registration for Cubbie Parent Orientation opens each July and closes before the school year begins. Please watch for information on when registration will open for the next year’s programming. Please note that there is a fee associated with our Tuesday night Awana programming.

Special Needs Ministry

Discovery Land values and loves every child that attends, which is why we have designed our One2One Ministry that focuses on children with special needs. Our goal is to create a successful, safe, fun, and educational experience in DL for all children and to meet their individuals needs.

For more information, please contact our One2One Ministry Coordinator.

Can I stay with my child?

We welcome you to stay with your child to observe. Simply stop at the DL Desk and they will be happy to assist you. Because we value your children’s safety, we strictly monitor who is in the Discovery Land facility during our learning sessions. A driver's license will be required to acquire a parent lanyard.

Do I have to be a member to bring my kids to Discovery Land?

No, you don’t have to be a member. Everyone is welcome in Discovery Land!

How old does my child have to be to come to Discovery Land?

Discovery Land offers Sunday programs for children 6 weeks through 6th grade. Our Tuesday night Awana programming is for children 2 years before 5 year old kindergarten through 6th grade. To learn more about our youth programming for students 7th grade and older, please visit our Student Ministries page.

How will you notify me if my child needs me?

All children and parents preschool age and under will receive wristbands with matching numbers during our Sunday and Tuesday programming. When parents are needed on Sundays, their specific wristband number appears on the screens in the Worship Center. Parents should go to the DL Desk to connect with their child if their number is put up.

Is there a fee for Discovery Land?

Our Sunday program is free of charge.
Our Tuesday evening Awana program has a cost associated with registration, which covers books, fees, uniforms, etc. The costs are listed on the registration.

What do you do for safety?

Some procedures we have put in place are:

  • Children preschool and under and their parents receive wristbands with matching numbers. When children are picked up, the wristbands are removed by an adult leader after confirming the numbers match. Please note the parent with the matching wristband is the only one allowed to pick up their child.
  • Students K-5th grade must be picked in their classroom by an adult immediately following the service. To ensure your child’s safety, older siblings are NOT allowed to pick up students.
  • For your children’s protection, screenings and background checks are run on all Discovery Land staff and volunteers.
  • The doors to Discovery Land are locked ten minutes after service begins so classes may move around in a secure environment. They are unlocked to allow parents in for pick up after all classes are back in their classrooms.
