Hortonville Alliance Church

Loved. That's what we are. People from all walks of life, loved by God. Loved by God while we were still imperfect and broken. Our heart is to connect people to God and the life-changing truth: He loves you. Just as you are.

One Church. One Vision. Two Locations.

Online Worship Service

(From Appleton Location)
Sundays  |  10:00 a.m.

We take your safety very seriously. To comply with Governor Ever's WI mask mandate, we ask that you please wear a face-covering while attending an in-person service. Please register each week you plan to attend. Registration is free and opens one week prior.

Here are the ways we are providing a safe environment for you and your family to join us in-person:

1. We will limit attendance to 50% capacity at each service.

2. Bulletin updates can be found online only. We will provide collection boxes for the offering at the back of the Worship Center and will celebrate communion using pre-packaged elements.

3. Hand sanitizer stations and wipes available.

4. There will be additional time between services to allow for cleaning.

Discovery Land equips children from birth to 6th grade with applicable Biblical truth through energetic worship, teaching, and activities.

We are so excited to welcome your kids to Discovery Land at HAC! Phase One of DL will kick off at launch on October 4. Please review the details below.

Our plan is to open Hortonville DL in phases, with Phase One, on Oct. 4, opening for children preschool-6th grade for both services—9:30 and 11:00 a.m. DL at Home is available for those families who are not able or ready to attend in person, available online every Saturday night starting at 7:00 p.m.

To create a safe environment for our children to all learn and worship together, you will need to register your children for a specific service time. Registration is completely free and opens the Sunday one week prior. Rooms are set up to automatically account for social distancing.

STEP 1: DL Registration
Select a time and reserve a spot for each child in Discovery Land. We recommend you DO THIS STEP FIRST, prior to booking your seats for service. This will help determine what hour you will attend, as classroom sizes are limited. For this reason, we do also recommend you reserve your spot early in the week.

STEP 2: Worship Service Registration
Next, reserve your seats for the in-person worship service in the auditorium.

We will be using the Church Center App to manage check-ins. Before you attend DL for the first time, please download the Church Center app and make sure your information is accurate. Find detailed instructions to download the app and create or update your profile and household information at appletonalliance.org/updatemyinfo.

STEP 1: Check-in on Church Center
Go to your Church Center app and click “Check-in” at the bottom, Select Sunday Discovery Land, click the child attending, and then their class. PRO TIP: You can do this step in the parking lot!

STEP 2: Print name tags
Walk up to any check-in station, located in Discovery Land in the lower level of the Opera House. Scan the code from your phone to print out name tags. You will receive 2 nametags for each child. One nametag goes on your child and the other is given to your child’s leader when you drop them off. You will also receive a security tag that matches your child’s nametag. You will keep the security tag.

STEP 3: Go to the meeting location
Drop your child off at their classroom. Then, head to the auditorium for service. When the worship service is done, you will pick up your kids in their classrooms. We ask that only one family member stand in line to pick up children from their classroom when possible. This will help create additional space in the hallway.

Social Distancing and Masks

Discovery Land will follow the HAC standards (based on the state's requirements) for wearing masks. Teachers will take it off their masks while presenting only as they feel comfortable. We do know that some children are unable to wear a mask for health reasons, we respect that decision of the parent. We will do our best to keep social distancing and cleanliness a priority in our Discover Time activities and classrooms. Discovery Land will be sanitized between each service to help keep our facility as clean as possible.

What is it called?

Hortonville Alliance Church

When will it launch?

October 4, 2020

What are service times?

9:30 and 11:00 a.m.

Where will it be?

The Hortonville Opera House in downtown Hortonville.

Who is leading it and who is preaching?

Pastor Brian Episcopo is the Campus Pastor and primary communicator at Hortonville. Pastor Brandon Hilstad is the Associate Pastor of Campus Ministries.

Why are we doing multi-siting?

There are several reasons, but the most important is to help people to connect with God and one another in different ways and places.

Why are we doing multi-siting in Hortonville?

One of our fastest growing communities in Northeast Wisconsin is Hortonville. Additionally, the community leaders have been very inviting and our launch will be a compliment to future plans for the community.

Do we own the facility?

No, we are renting the building for Sundays and occasional ministry events.

What ministries will be offered?

At the beginning, Hortonville Alliance Church will be a Sunday-only ministry with two worship services. Both services will have a full Discovery Land ministry for children 0-6th grade, live worship music, and live preaching most Sundays of the year. Midweek ministries for kids, youth, and adults will be available at Appleton Alliance Church.

How can I help?

Help in any one of the following ways: PRAY: Pray for the Alliance families in Hortonville to have the boldness and courage to love and share Christ with people who do not know Him. INVITE: Invite people who do not have a church home to consider Hortonville Alliance Church on Sundays this Fall. GO: Attend and serve in Hortonville

Rev. Brian Episcopo graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministries and holds a Master of Divinity from Wesley Seminary.
